Fine chocolate, Single Origin, Single Plantation, … it all sounds so nice and appealing, but where do you get it? Not in abundance in your local supermarket or shop around the corner, that’s for sure.
Heck, screening the world-wide web, I noticed there aren’t even that many places around Belgium where you find it. In Belgium! The so-called chocolate country in the world!
Part of the reason why I started this blog, is to share my info on retailers. And my experiences.
So here goes number one! Should be Belgian, don’t you agree?

This Antwerp-based on-line shop seduced me to buy my first “real” fine chocolate. After many hours of reading, I took the plunge and ordered two bars.
There are shops around with a vaster array of products, but their selection sure will appeal to many chocoholics and certainly for a beginner like me, they offer so many goodies. At great prices I might add.
Good payment policy, next to PayPal, Visa and MasterCard, you can also use a home banking transfer. I really like that!
As soon as you place an order, you receive a confirmation mail with all the needed info. Perfect.
Just three days after I placed my order, I found a tidy postal package in the mail, containing the Menakao 72% and Pralus République Dominicaine 75% bar as ordered. More surprising, I also found a small bag of cacao beans included!
Anyone going to that extent of service for a rather small order of € 12, gets two thumbs up!
And to top it off, the chocolate is devine! Review coming soon!
